Because to the app’s per-wage limits, he actually had to load the wager up in increments of $20,000 instead. On February 11, Mack doubled her bet by placing an additional $5 million on the Bengals. This set the record for the largest legal sports betting in history. In total, he will receive $16.2 million from the two bets, if the Bengals win.

When Hurricane Harvey hit in August 2017, Mack agreed to let people stay at his stores as shelters.
When much of Houston was inundated by Tropical Storm Imelda in 2019, he again. allowed the Gallery Furniture building to be used as a shelter and venue for free food.
In 2021, during the Texas Power Crisis and Hurricane Ida, Mack opened stores not only in Texas but also in the Louisiana branch to serve as shelters, food sources, and other necessities.
