In 2017, Karl Jacobs started streaming on Twitch playing Roblox as GamerBoyKarl. Later in 2019, he was employed as a video editor by MrBro, an American YouTuber. He later worked as a cameraman for MrBeast, MrBro’s brother, before joining MrBeast’s on-screen cast. Karl Jacobs met Minecraft YouTuber Dream during a MrBeast Gaming video, and he later encouraged him to join his server, “The Dream SMP”.
Karl Jacobs is the creator of the online anthology series, “Tales from the SMP”, which follows Jacobs’ time-traveling persona to various times and places all across the server to explore the tale of characters in the Dream SMP.
